There are a variety of barriers preventing students from maximizing their full potential including in-class factors (i.e. subject engagement/interest, class size, teacher experience, peer culture, etc.) and out-of-class factors (i.e. food insecurity, community support, parental involvement, violence/safety, etc.).
What is the solution?
Peer tutoring – while there is no silver bullet, we believe peer tutoring is a powerful support strategy that provides the individualized instruction and academic support that students need to thrive in school. Our vision is for all students in America to have access to a great peer tutor and peer tutoring program at their school.

Peer tutoring is a support strategy used to improve academic achievement and social-emotional outcomes for students.
Why peer tutoring?
Peer tutoring is a research proven and time tested strategy that is resource efficient. Effective peer tutoring programs lead to:
1. Higher academic and intellectual achievement for both the tutors and tutees.
2. Greater personal and social development for both the tutors and tutees.
3. Improved peer relationships as well as better school culture and climate.
4. Students having greater motivation to stay in school and pursue a college education.
What do we do?
We are on a mission to empower students to unleash their full potential by helping high school educators with the creation and development of effective peer tutoring programs through our proprietary Power of Peer Tutoring System.
- Only 1 in 4 students are proficient in math in grade 12
- Less than 2 in 5 students are proficient in reading in grade 12
- Every year, more than 1.2 million students dropout of high school
